I've been a fan of Sleeping Turtle since they opened in Ann Arbor a decade ago! I think I might've actually been familiar with the original Chicago location first, which is where I lived before moving to Ann Arbor... about a decade ago :). Less traditional and more of a stylized ramen experience, my fave is the Tan Tan Men Ramen. The kind of spicy that is very light for those who eat spicy and approachable for those who don't! Super savory and rich broth, and delicious house made chewy noodles. I always add a molten egg which they always get perfect. Good amount of tender pork. It looks small (and I believe has gotten much smaller over the years), but super filling. The Duck Fat Fried Chicken, Baos, and Sushi Rolls are great for sharing starters as well. I'll always get at least one. Good comfort food in sophisticated digs. Versatile, good for dates, meals with friends, family, etc. Definitely on the pricier side but always tasty and filling.

The ramen was AMAZING the broth was very rich and flavorful I got the duck fat fried chicken ramen and the chicken Gyoza I would definitely return!

Hi! Just popping in to say this place still rocks! Hubby and I ate here in May 2024 and everything was tasty per usual! It was packed in a Saturday night and we sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. Our server was new and learning but he was super accommodating. Love, love this place!

This might be our go to ramen spot in the area from now on! The service was great, our server was nice and speedy. Love the vibes here, the playlist is on point. The food was amazing! I had the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen, the broth flavor was great, the pork belly wasn't fatty and tasted delicious. My wife's DFFC Miso Ramen was also tasty. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice restaurant dark colors, open space, fancier vibes overall. Got the classic ramen, duck fat fried chicken, and a sashimi plate. The ramen was delicious- noodles were skinny and light as well as a light not too salty broth. Generous amount of pork and bamboo shoots.10/10 the duck fat fried chicken came with a spicy mayo dip tasted alright didn't stand out 6.5/10. Would come again.

The food was pretty good, but I've definitely had better ramen before. Parking is alittle hard in downtown Ann Arbor so just keep that in mind. This is also a favorite of students so it gets very crowded. Ambiance was very cute though like a typical Japanese style restaurant with a sushi bar and wooden tables. Service was fast.
